Dr. Susan Turner earned her doctorate in Audiology from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a BA in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She then earned her Master of Science in Audiology from Lamar, in Beaumont, Texas. She was previously employed with Houston ENT, before becoming Director of Audiology at Houston Eye Associates. Dr. Turner is certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association, the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and the American Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Turner’s clinical experience includes diagnostic audiometric evaluations, amplification for pediatric and adult population, vestibular assessments, hearing conservation and tinnitus/hypercusis evaluation and management. Dr. Turner is excited to build a successful practice and is dedicated to improving the lives of you and your family by allowing you to have a more active and fulfilling life.

In her free time, Dr. Turner enjoys yoga and riding hunter/jumper horses. She also participates in animal rescue.

Dr. Jennifer Dessel graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas with her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and her Master of Science in Audiology. She earned her doctorate in Audiology from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dessel completed her Audiology residency at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, Texas. She carries a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology given by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association;and is licensed to practice audiology and hearing aid dispensing from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Throughout her career in Audiology, Dr. Dessel has strived to give beyond the best care to all of her patients and to cater to each patient’s individual needs. She understands the frustrations of hearing loss and how it affects daily life; from hearing an alarm clock to having conversations with family members. Dr. Dessel is dedicated to learning the newest procedures and advancements in hearing technology. Her experience includes extensive expertise in pediatric and adult diagnostic testing and amplification, aural rehabilitation, and vestibular testing. In addition, she has worked with some of the top hearing aid manufactures to better understand individual hearing aids.

Dr. Dessel truly enjoys finding solutions that bring sound into her patients’ lives and offers diagnosis, amplification, education, and rehabilitation to those in need of her services.

When Dr. Dessel is not in the office she enjoys traveling, learning to box, and taking cooking classes.
